SILENT DISCO
This piece was inspired by my father. It explores the idea of living within contradiction: being queer vs religious vs history vs story vs idol vs artist vs sabbath vs disco. And ultimately, finding peace in this contradiction, because, as quoted by my father
“when I go to the club, I feel closer to god.”
SILENT DISCO premiered through Tiny Dances Chicago.
This is the first iteration of the piece, confined to a 4 × 4 stage.
